The Story Behind HumbleGlow

Hi, I’m Verly Joy—founder and formulator of HumbleGlow Collections, a nurse, mom, and immigrant building a dream alongside the life and career I’ve already built.

HumbleGlow started simply. I wanted skincare that was thoughtful, practical, and could do more without making a routine unnecessarily complicated. I began learning, formulating, testing, and creating products my own family and I would actually use.

Eventually, that passion became HumbleGlow Collections.

Nurse by Profession. Formulator by Passion.

I’m still a working nurse, and I build HumbleGlow around nursing shifts, family life, late-night batches, vendor events, packing orders, and everything else that comes with growing a small business.

Nursing will always be part of who I am. The care, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility I’ve developed throughout my career are also part of how I approach this brand.

That connection eventually became NurseCrafted®, now a federally registered trademark and a milestone that means so much to me.

Why I’m Building This

My goal isn’t to create the biggest skincare collection.

I want to build a meaningful one—with intentional products that earn their place in your routine.

I’m also building something for my family’s future. One day, I want the freedom to step away from bedside nursing on my own terms while continuing to carry the nurse in me into everything I create.

And I hope my daughters see something in this journey too

Still Humble. Still Growing.

This journey hasn’t been perfect. There have been failed batches, reformulations, wasted labels, long nights, lessons learned, and plenty of starting over.

But there have also been returning customers, meaningful conversations, milestones I once couldn’t imagine, and a small business that continues to grow.

I’m still a nurse. Still a mom. Still the person formulating, making, testing, packing, and showing up.

And I’m still building.
